Pet Bereavement

I understand how difficult it is to cope with the loss of a beloved animal member of the family.  I offer a specialised services with compassionate support to help you navigate this challenging time.

My name is Susan,  I have shared my life with several animal family members/companions over the years.  Sadly, this means I've suffered their loss, each one of whom were individual with their own personality and quirks.   Each one unique as sadly was their loss.   It is because of this that I understand how difficult it can be.  I also know that there can be healing from their loss too.

This is the reason I provide a personalised Counselling Service to help you process your grief and find healing in a safe and supportive way.

Why Pet Bereavement?

My name is Susan Wilding,  I decided  to specialise in Pet Bereavement after the loss of my beloved dog Simba, I was devastated and sought counselling.  I realised that whilst my counsellor was very nice, I felt like she struggled at times to understand how upset I was at the loss of my dog.  I recognised there is a real need for Specialist Pet Bereavement Counsellors who really understand how it feels to lose a beloved animal member of the family/animal companion.

I joined the  Association of Pet Bereavement Counsellors  due to its depth understanding of pet bereavement and determination to help those suffering pet loss.

I am qualified counsellor and member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists and have been in Private practice for eight years now.   The benefit of being a qualified counsellor means I am able to counsellor clients struggling with  anxiety and or depression alongside Pet Bereavement.
